Alice Chacon is a dancer, photographer, and filmmaker raised in New York City.
d a n c e \\ Alice is a graduate of SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, with a BFA in dance. She also attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts “Fame School” as a dance major.
Additionally, she has trained in Chinese Folk and Classical dance at the New York Chinese Cultural Center (NYCCC). This was to stay close to her roots as she is adopted from China.
She is currently a dancer/understudy at SYREN Modern Dance.
p h o t o + f i l m \\ As a photographer, Alice has worked with Sidra Bell Dance New York, Michiyaya Dance, SYREN Modern Dance, Adam Barruch + Chelsea Bonosky, Charissa Barton, Hollis Bartlett + Nattie Trogdon, and UANA DANS in her photography and film work. While at college, she photographed her peer’s senior projects and was able to build her work and grow as an artist. She has also photographed at locations such as The Juilliard School, Triskelion Arts, Mark Morris Dance Center, and more.
Alice was a Winner of the 2018 Dance On Camera Film Festival and had her dance film “Retrouvailles” shown at Lincoln Center.
